A Beautiful Stellar Feature (big thx David!)

The Infrared-Club (Extra-Visible Imaging)  and its Affiliate Stellar-Landscapers  thought it would be useful to highlight some of the growing body of work on astrophotography to be found on DA. Such images are within the general remit of The Infrared-Club (Extra-Visible Imaging) in that long exposure techniques are usually needed to capture images that would otherwise not be visible to the unaided eye, and obviously such images are the very stuff of the  Stellar-Landscapers Group.

There are several groups on DA that feature astro-photography:     

Digital photography has brought the photography of the stars and other astronomical bodies within easy reach for amateurs, even those of modest means and experience. A camera capable of long exposure settings, particularly the bulb setting, a sturdy tripod, plenty of time, and a clear night sky allow anyone to point the camera upwards, and to record heaven knows what. As well as important technical aspects - the science side of astrophotography - such work also allows the development of stunning artistic images. Here we present mainly creative images from some of the favourite themes in astrophotography.
